Stayin’ Safe with MotoMark1
MotoMark1 is proud to be among the few training companies selected and certified to conduct the Stayin’ Safe method of on-street training. Stayin’ Safe is recognized nationwide as the premier road-based rider-training program and pioneered on-street rider training in the United States to introduce advanced “road reading” techniques in real-world environments.
The Stayin’ Safe experience combines the pleasures of motorcycle touring with real world, real-time advanced skills coaching. Each training tour offers riders of all motorcycle types a fun opportunity to enjoy some of the best riding roads in the country while learning critical visual strategies and techniques for smoother, safer and more enjoyable riding. These advanced skills tours are comprised of routes through a mix of mountain twisties, rolling farmland, small towns, and limited stretches of traffic and multi-lane highway riding, providing riders with a diverse mix of riding and training scenarios. With a target ratio of three or four student riders per instructor, the MotoMark1 team will use one-way radio communication to provide expert coaching commentary in real-world riding situations. This approach enables riders to learn and apply techniques en route in real time. In addition to the real-time coaching, our tour leaders/coaches conduct “chalk talks”, creating virtual classrooms along the roadside. These breaks provide opportunities to illustrate concepts, discuss techniques, introduce new material and address any questions participants may have. The average day covers approximately 150-175 miles.
